Birds of Prey is undergoing a massive transformation, resulting in a game that is easier to learn, faster to play, and an even better simulation of jet dogfighting. The cornerstone of this game is the E6BoP, a flight computer based on real world pilot kit, that performs the calculations of flight rapidly and without erasing!
The new edition has matured greatly over the last year, but it will continue being refined and rewritten for much of this year. As an interim solution, we are offering a kit with the current playtest rules, play aids and a sample of ADCs, alongside the full production E6BoP. The current version of the game is mature enough to give a play experience that is superior to BoP 1.0.
The nine ADCs included are:
- MiG-15bis “Fagot-B”
- F-86F Sabre (early, slatted)
- MiG-21F-13 “Fishbed-C”
- F-104A Starfighter
- Mirage IIIC
- F-4E Phantom II (early, unslatted)
- F-16C Fighting Falcon block 30 (big-mouth)
- F/A-18C Hornet (early)
- MiG-29 9.12 “Fulcrum-A”
The interim edition includes materials for two players to enjoy BoP 2.0 and there are parts kits to let more players play. (Editions built around the E6BoP and other materials as PDF will be available when this release is delivered, in late March to mid April.)
The Interim BoP 2.0 kit can be pre-ordered from Ad Astra Games here.
Additional player E6BoP and flight aids can be ordered by clicking here.
A full boxed edition of Birds of Prey 2.0 Interim is available for anyone new to the system, and can be ordered at this link.

Airbattle RAG 6 is now available for purchase. This folio expands your world of jet dogfighting with new aircraft missiles, and scenarios, featuring the new content released at two recent Birds of Prey Conventions.
“Strike from the Sea” was the theme of the 2021 Birds of Prey Convention and featured fights where at least one side launched from the deck of an aircraft carrier. Scenarios range from the icy waters of the Baltic, to the ever-tense Taiwan Straight; between the the two warring Koreas, and over the sweltering sands of Egypt.
“The Aircraft We’ve Longed to Fly” of the 2022 Convention featured aircraft that the designers and previous convention attendees selected as those they most wanted to see that had not yet been featured in a product. This adds some very exciting new aircraft, including uncovered gems from the early cold war though ultramodern aircraft that have barely entered service!
All this, plus several aircraft and missiles not featured at the conventions, make Airbattle RAG 6 a substantial addition to your air combat collection!
Good luck and good hunting!
